Krinvanto Vishwam Aryam
Let’s Come Together To Make Our World Noble
In September this year, Dr Satish Prakash will reach the appreciable age of 70. Looking back at his life, we, his Gurukula family members, think of:
o The originators of his family line – his grandparents, both maternal and paternal, especially his Aajaa Gopi Chowdhury who had come to Guyana in 1907 from Uttar Pradesh, India.
o His parents, Mata Sampatti Devi and Acharya Pandit Hardeo Gopi, who had undergone untold struggles to give him and his siblings a respectable place at home, in school, and in society.
o His school teachers and university lecturers who laid the groundwork for him to successfully enter the academic world.
o His Gurukula Acharyas in India who taught him Grammar, Etymology, and Sanskrit Literature to prepare him for lecturing, writing, and teaching ancient Vedic texts.
To lend a meaningful perspective to this significant occasion, we bring into focus:
o The two Gurukulas he has established – one in New York and the other in Guyana.
o The online Zoom programs he has initiated through which hundreds of students worldwide have been taught Sanskrit, Hindi, Yoga, Ayurveda, Veda, Philosophy, Yajnas and Sanskaars.
o The several books he has written to shed light on the teachings of Veda, Rishi Dayananda and Arya Samaj.
o The almost daily postings on social media, the weekly programs on internet streaming video and the countless live lectures he has delivered to explain meaningful themes related to daily life.
o The annual camps, seminars and workshops he has organized from which thousands of Arya-Hindu youngsters have better understood their history, religion and culture, and
o The ongoing international travels through which he has reached out to the world community with discourses intoned with heart-touching Atma Geet songs.
To acknowledge these extraordinary achievements of Dr Satish Prakash, we strongly encourage you to come join us in a felicitation program to be held as follows:
