Course Introduction:
A preliminary introduction to the ancient written Sanskrit language.
Course Summary: Aṣṭādhyāyī 500
This course is designed for students with little to no prior knowledge of Sanskrit. It focuses on developing basic language skills for communication, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Course Objectives:
- Read and write the Devanagari Script.
- Know and practice the proper pronunciation of Sanskrit.
- Translate simple to complex sentences from Sanskrit to English and English to Sanskrit
Grading Structure:
- No attendance
- 25% Lesson Assessments
- 75% Final Comprehensive Exam (online, multiple choice, 48-hour turnaround)
