RIGVEDA 1:21:2

A SIMPLE MANTRA THAT YOU CAN SHARE WITH A FRIEND

Taa yajñeṣhu pra shansata
Indraa’gnee shumbhataa naraḥ
Taa gaayatreṣhu gaayata – 1:21:2

1.  Naraḥ – O leaders of society!
2.  Yajñeṣhu – When you gather in Yajña-assemblies, whether for studying and teaching knowledge, or for engaging in industry, arts and crafts,
3.  Tau Indraa’gnee Prashansata – ensure that you praise and proclaim the attributes of Air and Fire.

O leaders of society! Whenever you assemble in gatherings dedicated to Yajña, whether for the pursuit of knowledge, the organization of education, or the advancement of industry, arts, and crafts, remember that your work is sustained by the great forces of Air and Fire. In your studies and deliberations, reflect upon the qualities of Air, which represents movement, communication, vitality, and the unseen currents that connect and energize all beings. Recognize also the attributes of Fire, which signify light, clarity, transformation, power, and the capacity to refine and uplift. When you teach, let your words flow with the life-giving inspiration of Air. When you create, invent, or manufacture, let the disciplined energy of Fire guide your efforts, transforming raw materials into useful and noble forms. In every field, whether intellectual, social, or technological, consciously acknowledge these sustaining principles and align your actions with their noble qualities. In doing so, your assemblies become not merely meetings of convenience but sacred endeavors dedicated to progress, harmony, and the welfare of all.

4.  Shumbhata – Make these attributes shine in the manufacture of various conveyance-vehicles.

Make the noble attributes of Air and Fire visibly manifest in the design and manufacture of every vehicle you create. Let Air express itself through balance, motion, circulation, and efficiency. Design vehicles that move smoothly, harmonize with atmospheric currents, and use the science of aerodynamics wisely so that speed is joined with stability and safety. Let proper ventilation, intelligent airflow, and environmental consideration reflect respect for the life-sustaining qualities of Air. Let Fire reveal itself through controlled energy, illumination, and transformative power. Whether in engines, electrical systems, or emerging technologies, ensure that energy is generated and directed with precision and discipline. Fire should not represent reckless consumption, but refined power that converts fuel into purposeful motion. Let light guide navigation, heat be regulated for safety, and power be applied for constructive ends. When Air and Fire are honored in this manner, vehicles become more than mechanical structures. They become expressions of scientific wisdom, ethical responsibility, and technical excellence. Through thoughtful application of these principles, transportation serves society efficiently, safely, and sustainably, contributing to progress while preserving harmony with nature.

5.  Tau Gaayata Gaayatreṣhu – Sing the praises of these two (Air and Fire) through Vedic Mantras chanted in the Gayatri and other meters.

Sing the praises of these two sustaining forces, Air and Fire, through sacred recitations composed in the elevated rhythms of the Gayatri and other Vedic meters. Let your voices rise in disciplined harmony, so that sound itself becomes an offering of reverence, gratitude, and insight. In the Gayatri meter, chant verses that celebrate Fire not merely as physical heat or combustion, but as the inner radiance of intellect, courage, and moral resolve that refines human character. In other meters such as Trishtubh and Jagati, extol Air as the unseen yet ever-present force of movement, vitality, communication, and life. Praise the currents that circulate breath in living beings and motion in the atmosphere. Acknowledge Air as the symbol of inspiration and subtle connection linking individuals within society. When these hymns are chanted with understanding and sincerity, sound becomes a vehicle of knowledge. The rhythm trains the mind, the meaning elevates the intellect, and the collective recitation unites the assembly in shared purpose. Thus, through Vedic Mantras expressed in Gayatri and other meters, you not only praise Air and Fire, but also align human thought and action with their noble qualities of vitality, illumination, order, and transformative power.
